First look: what life will be like at New Lubbesthorpe

A local housebuilder has revealed what its latest development in New Lubbesthorpe will look like.

Redrow East Midlands has released a first look at some of the 163 new homes being built at its Chantry Mews development, situated off Tay Road.

Just 15 minutes from Leicester city centre and surrounded by 325 acres of new parklands, the development will form part of a wider new community, which will feature 4,500 new homes – in addition to health facilities and local shops. There will also be many community benefits, including two new primary schools and a major new secondary school.

With one to four-bedroom homes on offer, including apartments and bungalows, Redrow’s’ Chantry Mews development will be perfect for first-time buyers, larger families and downsizers alike.

Part of Redrow’s award-winning Heritage Collection, the three-bedroom, mews style Amberley will embody the architecture of the 1930s Arts and Crafts era, while offering a stylish and contemporary interior. With an open-plan kitchen and dining area, separate lounge and spacious garden, this makes for the perfect first home.

The Cambridge, another home that will be available at Chantry Mews, is a four-bedroom property with both practicality and style at its core. Filled with all the latest features needed for modern life, from an open-plan living area, to a separate utility and garage, this home has been designed with family life at the forefront.

Ryan O’Sullivan, Head of Sales at Redrow East Midlands, said: “We are thrilled to be able to offer a glimpse at what life will look like at our latest development in Leicestershire, which is set to be a thriving new community.

“We know that life in lockdown has changed what house buyers want and need from a new home and this development will offer the best of both worlds; complete with high-quality homes and vibrant urban amenities, in a rich rural setting that is well connected to the surrounding areas.

“This is our fourth development in Leicestershire and it’s wonderful to be able to show people what this fantastic new community is going to look like.”

Martin Ward, on behalf of the Drummond Estate, explains: “It’s great to see the site progressing, it is fast becoming the place to live in Leicestershire. This next phase of housing looks fantastic and will add to the mix of high-quality homes, within an attractive setting, at New Lubbesthorpe.”

The development forms part of a period of growth for the division, as it further expands across the East Midlands. Interested parties are being encouraged to register their details now to ensure they are among the first to hear when properties are released for sale in Spring 2021.
