New Lubbesthorpe Project Manager Puts Personal Travel Planning on the Agenda
Martin Lewis, project manager for the New Lubbesthorpe development is embarking on a new challenge; helping residents leave the car behind and use green travel options to get to work, shop or visit the County’s many leisure attractions.
He will work closely with new residents moving onto the 1,000 acre site, providing information and advice to all members of the family about the new bus services which will be provided, car sharing and the many existing and new footpaths and cycle routes to encourage green travel choices to be made where possible.
The personal travelling planning service is just one of many ways the New Lubbesthorpe development will become one of the most sustainable places to live in the County.
Martin said: "I'm looking forward to working with the new community to provide information about green ways to travel in the area, including connecting them with their neighbours to organize car sharing where possible.
"We are investing in new bus, cycle and safe, green pedestrian routes to access the wider area, as well as providing new shops, schools, services, jobs and leisure facilities on the site to reduce the need to travel."
